The Miracle In Mundelein: Merging Music and Cannabis Cultures

The inaugural “The Miracle In Mundelein” event, Illinois’ first concert to permit onsite cannabis consumption, is slated for Saturday, September 9 – Sunday, September 10, 2023. Located outside of Chicago, across from RISE Mundelein in Mundelein, IL, this groundbreaking event offers an exciting confluence of music and cannabis cultures.

Sponsored by RYTHM Premium Cannabis, Sacred Rose, and Dayglo Presents, The Miracle in Mundelein is an anticipated celebration of cannabis, music, and art, aiming to foster unity across diverse communities.

A Multifaceted Musical Journey

The two-day event will span multiple genres, featuring a cultural mix of hip-hop, jam, reggae, and funk artists.

Cypress Hill

Headlining Saturday’s lineup is the legendary, multi-platinum hip-hop group Cypress Hill. Known for their groundbreaking fusion of Latin and hip-hop influences, Cypress Hill became mainstream icons with top tracks like “Insane in the Brain” and “Hits from the Bong.”

Action Bronson

Joining the lineup is Action Bronson, an underground rap icon, cannabis enthusiast, chef, and media personality. Bronson’s dynamic career and unique style shine through in his music, with notable tracks such as “Baby Blue” and “Easy Rider.”

Stephen Marley

Eight-time GRAMMY-winning reggae artist Stephen Marley will be gracing the event with a rare, full-band acoustic set. His soulful voice and compelling lyrics resonate in his top tracks like “Rock Stone” and “Mind Control.”

DJ Papa G

Local artist DJ Papa G, known for his vibrant beats and captivating mixes, will also feature in the lineup, bringing a touch of local flavor to the concert.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead

Sunday’s lineup boasts world-class jam acts like Grateful Dead offshoot Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. Known for their energetic performances and eclectic sound, they’ve produced fan favorites like “Here Comes Sunshine” and “Althea.”

Lettuce

Funk-fusion group Lettuce is another stellar addition to the lineup. Their electrifying performances are bound to keep the audience grooving, especially with hits like “Phyllis” and “The Love You Left Behind.”

Karina Rykman

Jam/experimental bassist Karina Rykman will be playing on Sunday as well. She is known for her exceptional bass skills and experimental approach to music. Rykman’s performances are always a unique experience.

DJ Mitch Please

Chicago’s own DJ Mitch Please is completing the lineup, known for his eclectic music taste and energy behind the decks. His mixes seamlessly blend multiple genres, creating a unique auditory experience for listeners.

A Rich Tapestry of Experiences

Aside from the exquisitely curated music lineup, The Miracle in Mundelein will offer attendees singular non-music experiences such as a dab bar, cannabis beverage garden, joint rolling, chilled bongs, and more.

“The Miracle is our way of celebrating this unique intersection — with amazing music, high-quality weed, and a welcoming community. We are excited to put on an incredible show while providing a safe, legal space for cannabis consumption for everyone 21 and over.”

– Ben Kovler, CEO of Green Thumb Industries

Creating an Inclusive Event

Organizers have designed The Miracle in Mundelein to be a safe and inclusive event, with cannabis sales not permitted inside the event to ensure compliance with local regulations. However, with the event location being across from a Green Thumb dispensary, patrons can conveniently purchase their cannabis products beforehand to enjoy onsite. The event requires all cannabis products being brought into The Miracle to be sealed.

Michael Berg, Founder of Sacred Rose Presents, expresses his excitement about contributing to this event. “Growing up and attending high school only one town over and seeing how far things have evolved over the past 3 decades, it’s truly a miracle that we’re able to create such a unique and first-of-its-kind concert.”

A New Era in Entertainment

Peter Shapiro, Founder of Dayglo Presents, shares the enthusiasm, stating, “The Miracle in Mundelein is more than just a concert; it is a testament to the relationship that music and legal cannabis can have when brought together in the right way. Our goal is to create a new type of event, which showcases the uplifting impact of cannabis in a legal environment while also supporting and growing a real community.”

With its blend of music, cannabis culture, and community, The Miracle In Mundelein is set to redefine the concert experience. It will take place across the street from RISE Dispensary Mundelein, located at 1325 Armour Blvd, Mundelein, IL 60060. The event is strictly for individuals aged 21 and above, with on-premise consumption permitted.
